So, who is Vigdis?

My name is Vigdis, which in Icelandic means a warrior fairy! I am Stefansdottir, which means that I am a daugther of Stefan (dottir means daugther of). My fathers name was Stefán Agnar Magnússon (Magnússon referring to being a son of Magnus) and my mothers name was Árný Fjóla Stefánsdóttir (not a family name, it just happened to be the same first name as my fathers!)

I have 4 children, Böðvar Darri is 19, born on 13.03.1986, Árný Elsa is 26, born on 1.9.1979, Steina Bragi was born on 23.3.1978 and Agnar Tryggvi, who is 30, born on the 24th of August 1975. Árný has two children, Steinar Helgi is 6 years old and Anna Katrín is 2 years old. When I get back to Iceland, I will make it a priority to get a cat as I miss my cat a lot!

Over the years I have done numerous things, worked as a journalist, editor, teacher, webmaster, manager and so forth. Now I am a student in Cardiff University, studying genetic counselling.
I have a very broad range of interests including patchwork, crafts of most kind, reading, travel, people, gardening, science, genetics, medicine, technology and so forth. I also like webbuilding and maintaining and do maintain some websites.

I belong to a rotary club in Iceland, in my old neighboroughood, Rotary Grafarvogur. In Wales I belong to Cardiff St. Davids
