Deserted Farms - Gestabókin

Nökkvi Elíasson has been photographing deserted farms throughout his native Iceland. The dramatic results vividly show how the camera can transcend seemingly unphotogenic subjects when put in talented hands. Eliasson modestly says his people photos are his weakest subject, but based on the sample shown here, we feel his environmental portraits and candids are quite good.

Reyndar brá mér dálítið á sínum tíma þegar myndirnar þínar komu fyrst fram því ég var með þessa hugmynd í kollinum að taka myndir af eyðibýlum á mörgum ferðum mínum um landið, þau sem sagt heilluðu mig. Ég var alltaf með fullan bíl af börnum svo ég hugsaði mér að gera þetta þegar þau væru orðin stór. En ég hefði hvort sem er aldrei framkvæmt þetta svo ég er fegin að sjá að þú hefur ráðist í þetta verk og það svona glæsilega. Til hamingju!

Halló, vildi bara segja þér að ég var að skoða síðuna þína og VÁ, þvílýkar myndir og bara VÁ. Mig langaði svo á sýninguna þína en komst ekki og var mjög ánægð að geta skoðað myndirnar þínar á netinu. Það er eitthvað við svona eyðibýli sem heillar mann gjörsamlega, maður getum næstum ímyndað sér að þarna hafi einhverntíman verið mikið gaman en kannski líka sorg.
