CARS, BUSES & TRUCKS

I must admit that I do have an underlying passion for old cars and trucks, but do not have the "automania" bug. It is just as well that I don't own an antique car as I am not very good at fixing things and not very familiar with repairing and maintaining old cars. However, I do like taking pictures of old cars and I have visited some auto shows and museums when the opportunity has presented itself.

The photos on the following pages are just a small sample of what I shot in the Southwards Museum in Paraparaumu, New Zealand in November 2000. The museum is located in a small town about 90 minutes drive from Wellington. I was only going to stop there for an hour or so, but ended up spending an entire day, sex negative films and 90 minutes on video. No, I am not a antique car buff! (28.11.2009)

In the summer of 2008 I was working at the Icelandic Aviation Museum in Akureyri. I would sometimes use the early evenings after work to familiarize myself with the Eyjafjörður district and surrounding area. On one such evening I paid a visit to the Transport Museum at Ystafell in Þingeyjarsveit. This is a very nice museum with a good selection of interesting vehicles.

So to avoid that I ask that you put the @ sign in the proper place
